On Sunday 8th March, Sellebrity Soccer hosted the Ryley’s Dream to Walk Charity Match at Honeycroft, the home of Uxbridge FC. We were super lucky to do photography for the event while doing our typical scoreboard stuff at Honeycroft.
When Ryley was younger, his parents were told that he would never be able to walk. He was later diagnosed with a rare brain condition. In 2025, the NHS denied Ryley physiotherapy, and just a few days ago he was sadly denied it again.
Earlier this week, Ryley’s Instagram account shared the following message:
Still so angry about this & feel like it needs a post 😡 I’m not letting it go especially as it’s Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month! Ryley will have Cerebral Palsy for the rest of his life as well as everything else he has going on, physio is the least he deserves from the NHS. Don’t get me wrong I understand it’s from higher up but it’s not right 😢 We have to self fund his physio, his orthotics for him to be able to walk and even his wheelchair, it’s never ending. This is why we have no choice but to fundraise and ask for help, it’s not through choice and it’s embarrassing but we have to because Ryley’s been refused NHS physio AGAIN this year, 2nd year in a row!! Last year the only help he had from Physio Services was his CPIP measurements which is a legal requirement. So frustrating but it’s why we depend so much on everyone’s help raising money towards his therapy. Thank you for your help up to now, if you are able to help at all here’s his fundraising link again in my bio and THANK YOU 🙏💙"
Ryley’s family have worked incredibly hard campaigning and raising money so he can access privately funded physiotherapy. We caught up with Ryley at the charity match, and he was incredibly kind and happy to take a photo with us. The link to support him is below. He’s an amazing young boy who deserves as much support as possible.
